La Herencia® Al Pastor loaded fries

Ingredients for the fries

  • 1 pack of La Herencia ® Al Pastor

  • Olive oil drizzle

  • 4 potatoes

  • 1 cup nacho cheese

  • 1 avocado

  • ½ a lime

  • 1 chopped tomato

  • ¼ cup cilantro roughly torn

  • Pickled jalapeños to preference

  • Sour cream

Ingredients for the Fries’ Seasoning

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp. paprika

  • Salt to taste

  • Non-stick spray (for pan)

Instructions for the fries

Preheat oven to 450°F and spread parchment paper on a baking sheet. Wash, peel potatoes, and cut in thin strips. Next, place potatoes in a bowl, and add olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, and salt to taste. Mix seasonings and coat fries.

After fries are fully coated, spray non-stick spray into baking sheet and begin placing fries in a single layer across sheet. Bake potatoes for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

While fries are baking, open a package of La Herencia® Al Pastor meat and preheat skillet over medium high heat. Add a drizzle of oil. Cook for 4 minutes untouched, flip and stir meat, and cook an additional 3 minutes or until temperature reads 145°F on an internal thermometer. Remove from heat and let rest for 3 minutes.

Warm nacho cheese in a small pan. Then, mash avocado in a bowl and add lime juice. Chop tomatoes and cilantro. Remove fries from oven and allow fries to cool.

Begin assembling the fries by placing them on a plate. Cover fries with warm nacho cheese, diced La Herencia Al Pastor meat, mashed avocado, tomatoes, sour cream, pickled jalapeños, and cilantro.
