La Herencia® Al Pastor Quesadillas
Mouthwatering Al Pastor Quesadilla recipe has been created to make every bite packed with flavor. With La Herencia® preferred style of red salsa, it is just what you need to add a hint of freshness to your quesadilla.
Ingredients for the quesadillas
- 1 Package of La Herencia® Al Pastor marinated meat
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 4 flour tortilla
- 2 cups of shredded queso chihuahua
Ingredients for the Salsa
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- Add salt
- 2 jalapeños (deveined for less spice)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 cups of water
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE QUESADILLAS
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in pan, cut pack of La Herencia® Al Pastor meat in thin strips.
Cook La Herencia® Al Pastor meat on both sides until fully cooked.
In a low heat pan place tortilla and add queso chihuahua on tortilla. Next add thin strips of La Herencia® Al Pastor cooked marinated meat, and add more queso chihuahua.
Fold quesadilla in half and cut in triangle slices. Add a sprinkle of cilantro and onion on top of the quesadillas.
Instructions for the Salsa
In a boiling pot of water add tomatoes, onion, jalapeños, and garlic cloves in high heat for 15 minutes.
In a blender add cilantro, salt, and all boiled ingredients with water.
After fully blended, in the same pot add salsa until simmer as well as salt to preference.
